The Penthouse is close to Loch Lomond and the the Loch Lomond national Park. It is an excellent base for touring by car - Inverary and its castle on Loch Fyne and the Trossachs are about 1 hour away. the Rosneath Peninsula is only minutes away for delightful walks and cycling.
There are also convenient rail links to Glasgow and Edinburgh and the West Highland line to Fort William, Oban, Fort William and Mallaig. You can also cruise on the Clyde including a trip on the paddle steamer Waverley.
